Materials

Choose for the food, not the label

Hot, cold, saucy or on the move — packaging performs differently in each setting. This guide helps frame the conversation. Final material routes are confirmed per project.

Unbranded moulded fibre and paper packaging material specimens

Start with the serve

Before choosing a material name, describe the food temperature, oils or moisture, expected dwell time and whether the pack is collected, delivered or eaten on site. These factors shape which constructions are worth discussing.

Common material families

Paper & board: Used across cups, boxes and bags. Grade, coating and food-contact suitability depend on the confirmed item and intended use.

Moulded fibre: Often discussed for clamshells, bowls and trays. Performance and disposal context vary by formulation — confirmed per project.

Wood & paper service items: Cutlery and napkin programmes use paper and wood routes scoped against service style.

What we do not do on this page

We do not make blanket claims about compostability, recyclability or regulatory compliance without item-level confirmation. If you need documentation, request available files through an RFQ.

Coming next: Expanded material comparison tables with project-confirmed performance notes — not generic certification claims.
